Connor's Baptism

I can not believe our little boy is old enough to get baptised. He was so excited to be emerged cool waters of the Palo Verde Wards baptismal font. I did have to dunk him two times. He lifted his foot out of the water the first time. I was just glad the words were written on the wall.

Connor says the best part of being baptized is the receiving the holy ghost and getting the cool presents. (we thought he would say something like that., but he really said his favorite part was getting the Mario and Sonic Olympics DS game.)

I thought the best part of the baptism was being able to experience baptising my little boy. I was nervous about the conformation. I am glad it went well. I was also excited my parents and grand parents attended. It was nice to see my family support Connor in his choice to become a member of the church. I figure my parents and grandparents will get baptized here on earth or elsewhere. Either way they will get dunked.

I am very proud of Connor and his choice to be a member of the church. I remember my baptism. I was 19. Mike Hughes baptised me. I was so nervous, I had the bubble guts. My parents did not attend. I guess over the last 12 years there hearts have been softened. I am excited Connor has a strong support system, and such a strong testimony. CONGRATS CONNOR

Knott's Berry Farm

Today we paid a visit to the land of Peanuts. KNOTT'S BERRY FARM!!!!!!! We Had so much fun!!!!!!!! OK, well, not as cool as Disney Land California Adventure, probably better then Dolly Wood. Kinda getto, the grounds were dirty, employees not the nicest, and the shows were like alexa and elizas school progams. The extreme sports show was good. They did some cool BMX and Skate tricks. The dancers were a bit cheesy but we had a blast.

I wanted to go on all the scary rides, but did not want to the fat guy stuck upside down on a roller coaster. The kids have a hard time posing for pictures, Connor gets confused on what to do with his hands. Eliza and Alexa just find the camera.

Missy , Connor, and Eliza decided to ride an awful ride (The Wipe Out). I watched Missy's skin begin to take on a shade of green. Eliza thought it was great and Connor screamed he was falling out. He tried to have the workers stop the ride. Seriously scary ride!!!!

Eliza rode the log water ride 5 times in a row. She was drenched. I lucked out, did not get too wet.

Connor really enjoyed the freedom of choosing the rides he wanted to go on. He got really good at standing on his tip toes and squatting depending on the height requirments.

When Chris and his brother Darryl were kids they would come to Imperal Beach every summer. Like there daddy Connor, Eliza, and Alexa love the beach. They had so much fun and played all day and into the night.

Every night, we made sure we made it to the beach to watch the sunset. We were never really able to make it to see the sunrise, 6am is really early when you are on vacation!

The McDonald Family

Thank you for visiting the McDonald Family Blog. Chris and Melissa were married May 21st 1999 in the LDS Las Vegas Temple. Our family includes Connor McDonald who Just turned 8 and gets baptized on August 16th. We also were blessed with twin girls Alexa and Eliza, who Just turned 6.
Many of our friends are aware of Alexa's rare heart condition. Alexa was born with Hypo plastic Left Heart Syndrome. HLHS is a heart condition in which the left ventricle is extremely small requiring 3 major open heart surgeries to rework the cardio plumbing. Alexa is a fun and smart kindergarten student who loves go carts, monkey bars, swings, slides, and whatever other risky behaviors she dares tries.
Eliza is Alexa's twin and let me tell you, she is a firecracker. She loves to sing, play Nintendo, race go carts, play tennis, soccer and anything she can win. She is very competitive like her brother and mother. Eliza's fun sense of humor and good looks has gotten herself a boyfriend named Mike. When Mike called my house I thought I am going to kick his little butt. I thought about the shot gun thing, changed it to an airsoft gun, then decided to give the kid a chance. I met his parents and to my surprise. I decided my 6 year old is not ready for a relationship. Eliza, non the less, will be breaking a lot of hearts. I figured I would get acquainted with fact Eliza will not be dating until the age of 35, and she may want to stay with us until she gets married. She is a great little girl.
Connor is 8 years old. he is getting baptised. Connor loves video games, school, and his family. Connor is a straight A student. Connor tested into the gate program at his school. Gate is a program for children who have a unique perspective of education.

SEAWORLD

Sea world was so much fun.We enjoyed the wonderful San Diego weather and the talented mammals which make Sea world so famous. The kids saw everything they could during the day. Shamu was very cool. Connor informed us Shamu is an Orca. I hold him Shamu was trained by using operant conditioning. He looked at me the same way I looked at him.
Eliza thought the dolphins were amazing, and she could not stop laughing when the pretend tourist/ trainer nosed dived in the tank,!!! Missy and Alexa had fun times at the arcade. The had lots of fun at the strongman ring the bell game. Eliza took a full swing and we saw a full moon. Connor and I chose not to partake of Journey to Atlantis. I informed Missy and the kids I exceeded the maximum weight limit and the boat would sink... Sad, but they did believe me, Connor and I supported them from the sidelines.. As the day winded down and I was excited to go back to the beach. I wore shoes which were much to small for my Sasquatch feet... regardless of the blisters Sea world was a blast and we can not wait to see the shows at sea world again.
